Peaky Blinders has captured the imagination of fans across the world, whilst Carl Chinn has dazzled audiences with his knowledge and passion for Midlands history. Together, they form the 2020 Wolverhampton Society Christmas Lecture! If you’ve ever wondered about the real story behind what you see on TV, then this is the event for you.

Carl is Professor Emeritus at Birmingham University and has written a regular history column in the Express and Star. He is perhaps best known for his BBC radio WM show, which ran for 19 years. He is one of the leading authorities on Birmingham and West Midlands history.
