Carribee Island was one of the most notorious neighbourhoods in Victorian Wolverhampton and was home to a substantial population of Irish immigrants.

Historian Simon Briercliffe takes a closer look at the area and looks into whether the neighbourhood, and particularly its inhabitants, were what legend has made them out to be.
